In Exodus 35:25-26, we see a foundational truth: women’s contributions are essential to God’s work. When Moses built the Tabernacle, skilled women spun yarn and wove goat-hair coverings. Without their “willing hearts” and craftsmanship, the dwelling place of God would have remained incomplete. They were never meant to be spectators; they were active architects of sacred space.
This pattern finds its fulfillment in the New Testament. Jesus broke cultural norms by welcoming women like Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Susanna as vital supporters of His ministry (Luke 8:1-3). The early church continued this legacy, with Paul honoring leaders like Phoebe the deacon, Priscilla the teacher, and Junia the apostle (Romans 16). These examples dismantle any notion that women are sidelined in ministry—they are, in fact, indispensable partners.
Today, women serve as the spiritual covering of the church. Through prayer, they protect the body just as the goat-hair curtains shielded the Tabernacle. Mature women are called to mentor the next generation (Titus 2:3-5), while mothers shape future leaders through nurturing and faith.
Every woman possesses God-given wisdom and dormant talents waiting to be awakened by the Holy Spirit. When men and women labor together without bias, the church thrives. Let every woman know she is precious, powerful, and purposefully placed. When women rise in prayer and leadership, the entire body of Christ is strengthened, and the Gospel advances with unstoppable power.
