Honor Opens the Door to Power and Grace.
Honor is not merely a social custom; it is a spiritual law, a currency of heaven, that brings blessing and breakthrough.
Speaker: Pastor Shan Kikon
In the Kingdom of God, His principles often work in ways that are completely different from how the world's wisdom perceives them. Among the many life-changing truths of the Word, the principle of 'honor' is the greatest, yet we often overlook it. Honor is not merely a social custom or etiquette; it is a spiritual law, a "currency" of heaven, that brings blessing, wisdom, and divine breakthrough into a believer's life.
To understand the true meaning of honor, we must learn to look past a person's outward appearance or status and see the special value that God has placed within everyone. As the teachings of the Kingdom suggest, honor is the "eye that can see God's glory even in ordinary places." Whether it is our parents, spouse, spiritual leaders, or fellow believers, honoring means recognizing and appreciating the grace, calling, and purpose God has placed in another person from the heart. When we honor what God considers precious, our hearts align with the heartbeat of heaven.
This principle has a profound impact on our practical lives. Biblical examples, from the life of Lord Jesus to the relationship between Elijah and Elisha, show that honor is the first stepping stone to receiving spiritual gifts and blessings. When we honor the people God has placed in our lives, especially those carrying divine responsibilities, we prepare ourselves to receive the blessing, wisdom, and grace that flow through them.
Conversely, a spirit of dishonor acts as a great wall that prevents us from seeing God's work and closes doors of blessing that should have been opened. We see this in the life of Christ Jesus; because the people of His own hometown dishonored Him, He could not perform many miracles there. Thus, by failing to appreciate the presence of God in others, we lose opportunities for deep encounters with God and supernatural works.
In conclusion, honor is a condition of the heart. When we consciously decide to honor others, we open the paths for heaven’s grace to flow into our lives. Honor is not just a command to be obeyed; it is the vital key to walking in the fullness of the purpose and destiny that God has prepared for us.
