Honor the Word
Discover how the ancient Ark of the Covenant teaches us to treasure God's Word in our hearts today.
In this sermon, Pastor Shaik Saleem walks us through the physical and spiritual significance of the Ark of the Covenant. In the Old Testament, the Ark was a sacred chest covered in pure gold, built to protect the Ten Commandments. Today, we often struggle to keep God's commands, viewing them as heavy obligations instead of precious treasures. But the physical Ark was always meant to point to a deeper spiritual reality: our own hearts.
Just as the Ark housed the law, the manna, and Aaron's rod, our bodies are now temples meant to carry God's presence.
When we hide Scripture in our hearts, it protects our faith from spiritual attacks and shapes our everyday lives. Ultimately, all these Old Testament patterns find their completion in Jesus Christ. He is the true Ark and the Bread of Life who tore the temple veil to give us direct access to the Father. Pastor Saleem encourages us to move past outward rituals and let the Holy Spirit write God's truth on our hearts, bearing lasting fruit for His kingdom.
